I am a language consultant at the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology and work to support the different departments’ work to develop the academic language, for example through workshops in academic writing and reading for students on different levels, in both Swedish and English. I also teach within the English subject, especially courses in academic writing for researchers and students from other disciplines, such as Written English for Scholarly Publication.

I received my PhD in English Literature from Lund University in 2008 for a thesis on spatial aspects of Joseph Conrad’s worldview. My later research has likewise been primarily focused on the spatial complexity of texts, for example in the works of Henry James and Elizabeth Bishop. Above all, I’m fascinated by the ability of the written language to extend our cognition, so that we can think thoughts that would otherwise be too complicated. I'm also much engaged in how the AI revolution can affect our writing and thinking.
